Addressable or conventional?

A conventional system divides the building into zones, and an alarm tells the panel only which zone. In an addressable system every device on the loop has an address, so the panel identifies the exact device and location, and large projects need less cabling. Conventional suits small and medium buildings; addressable suits large and multi-storey buildings and projects that need finer control and integration.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between addressable and conventional fire alarm systems?

In a conventional system detectors are wired on zone circuits and the panel shows the zone in alarm. In an addressable system each detector or module has an address on the loop, so the panel identifies the exact device and its location and allows finer output programming.

Which fire alarm brands does AZEIDK supply in Saudi Arabia?

Most products are Context Plus (addressable and conventional panels, detectors, fire telephone and voice alarm), with conventional panels and detectors from FG, detectors from SFP, and cables from Fire World and Falcon Gold.

Are the products EN 54 or UL approved?

Approvals depend on the model and are stated on each product page and its datasheet. For example, Series 65E detectors are stated as EN 54 compliant, while Series 65A and Context UL-Plus detectors are stated as UL Listed.

What do you need to prepare a fire alarm quotation?

Architectural or fire alarm drawings, the number of floors and areas, the system type required (addressable or conventional), and the consultant-approved specification if available.

Does AZEIDK install and maintain fire alarm systems?

Yes. AZEIDK services cover supply, installation, programming, testing and commissioning, preventive maintenance contracts and Civil Defense approval support.

Send your drawings, device counts and the system type you need, and the AZEIDK team will prepare a quotation with the proposed devices.
