Conventional fire alarm systems

AZEIDK supplies conventional fire alarm systems in Saudi Arabia from Context Plus and FG, with detectors from Select Fire Plus (SFP): control and repeater panels, smoke, heat, flame and beam detectors, manual call points, bells, sounders and beacons.

Detectors and devices

  • Context Plus Series 65E detectors stated as EN 54 compliant (optical, ionisation and heat in A1R, BR, CR and CS classes), and Series 65A stated as UL Listed.
  • BeamRay RFX70 reflective beam detector to EN 54-12:2015, VdS approved per its page, 70 m range extendable to 160 m.
  • FirePlus-LHD linear heat detection cable stated as UL Listed, in 68, 88, 105 and 185°C ratings and up to 3,000 m per zone, with the LHD-DIU unit to locate the fire along the cable.
  • SFP detectors: optical smoke detector to EN54-7:2018, beam detector from 10 to 100 m, and an explosion-proof IR3 flame detector up to 60 m.
  • FG smoke and heat detectors, resettable and break-glass call points, 6-inch bells, and IP65 weatherproof sounders and beacons.

Gas extinguishing control panel

This range also includes the Context Plus EP203/CON three-zone automatic extinguishing control panel, with status units, release call points and hold and abort buttons. See also gas fire suppression systems.

Frequently asked questions

When is a conventional system the right choice?

In small and medium buildings with a limited number of zones, where knowing the zone in alarm is enough. Large buildings, or projects that need the exact device and wider interfacing, are better served by an addressable system.

Can an FP panel be expanded after installation?

The expandable FP models can: FF384-2/CON from 4 to 6 zones and FF388-2/CON from 8 to 10, 12 or 14 zones using the FF387Z-2 card. FF384/CON and FF388/CON are fixed capacity.

What is the difference between Series 65E and Series 65A detectors?

The product pages state Series 65E as EN 54 compliant and Series 65A as UL Listed. The choice follows the approved project specification.

Which detector suits warehouses and high halls?

Usually a beam detector, such as BeamRay RFX70 with up to 160 m range or SFP-CBM-100M up to 100 m. The final choice depends on ceiling height, area and the applicable standard.

Does AZEIDK install and maintain conventional systems?

Yes: supply, installation, testing and commissioning, preventive maintenance contracts and corrective maintenance.
