Sounder Control Unit with Isolator, 55000-852IMC

The Context Plus 55000-852IMC Sounder Control Unit switches a circuit of sounders from the addressable loop. Sounders can be operated continuously or pulsed (1 second on, 1 second off), individually or in groups, and pulsed units can be synchronised.

An opto-coupled input monitors the external power supply that feeds the sounders. The unit is supplied with a back box for surface mounting.

Key features:

• Continuous or pulsed operation, 1 s on / 1 s off.
• Individual address set by a 7-segment DIL switch, plus a group address set by a 4-segment DIL switch.
• Embedded synchronisation address for pulsed mode.
• Bi-directional short-circuit isolator, unaffected by short circuits on the loop input or output.
• Red LED for sounder status and two yellow LEDs for fault and isolator operation.
• Opto-coupled input to monitor the external power supply.
• LPCB approved.

Typical applications:

• Driving zones of conventional sounders or bells from an addressable panel.
