Control and components

  • The EP203/CON panel for three conventional detection zones, two-stage alarms, manual and automatic modes with hold and abort, stated as LPCB certified, with status units and the EP212 relay board.
  • Yellow resettable or break-glass release call points, and hold and abort buttons.
  • 24V DC release solenoids and a UL Listed latching solenoid, piston actuator and local manual control head.
  • UL Listed discharge hoses from 1 to 4 in, manifold check valves, and discharge nozzles from 1/2 to 2 in in 180° or 360° patterns.
  • Discharge pressure switch, cylinder supervisory switch, liquid level indicators and a main/reserve selector switch.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between FM-200 and HFC-227ea?

FM-200 is a trade name for the agent HFC-227ea (heptafluoropropane). The Context Plus 227 and AFC FM-200 systems use the same agent.

Where are gas suppression systems used?

In server, telecom and electrical rooms, archives and critical assets, where water would damage the equipment.

What is the difference between clean agent and aerosol?

A clean agent is stored in cylinders and distributed through pipes and nozzles in the room. FirePro condensed aerosol is produced by generators installed in the protected space without a pipe network. The choice depends on the hazard and the applicable standard.

How long does discharge take?

The nozzle page states discharge completes in 10 seconds or less, in line with NFPA 2001 requirements for these systems.

What is needed for a quotation?

Dimensions of the protected rooms (length, width and height), the hazard type, any raised floor or false ceiling, and the site layout.
