Manifold Check Valves and Shuttle Check Valves for Clean Agent Systems

Manifold check valves are used when two or more agent cylinders share a common discharge manifold. They prevent loss of agent if a cylinder is not connected at the time of discharge, and prevent back-flow into other cylinders on the manifold.

Brass shuttle valves connect a main and a reserve cylinder to common discharge piping and nozzles. After the main cylinder discharges, the reserve can be transferred with the main/reserve switch; the shuttle check prevents the reserve charge flowing back into the empty main cylinder.
