Addressable Optical Smoke Detector, 55000-685IMC

The Context Plus Addressable Optical Smoke Detector, 55000-685IMC is an addressable smoke detector designed for use within addressable fire alarm systems to detect smoke in protected areas and communicate with the fire alarm control panel.

The detector uses photo-electric smoke detection. Inside the detector chamber, an infrared light emitting diode and a photo-diode are arranged so that, in clean air, the photo-diode does not receive light directly. When smoke enters the chamber, light is scattered onto the photo-diode in relation to the smoke characteristics and density.

It operates on the Apollo XP95 communication protocol and supports two-wire, polarity-insensitive supply wiring. The detector also includes an LED alarm indicator to show alarm status when activated.

This detector is suitable for offices, corridors, rooms, administrative areas, commercial buildings, residential buildings, hotels, schools, and areas where smoke detection is suitable according to the fire alarm system design.
