Loop Isolator and Isolator Base, 55000-720 & 45681-211

The Context Plus 55000-720 isolator is installed at intervals on the addressable loop. If a short circuit occurs, only the section between the two nearest isolators is affected, and the rest of the loop keeps working.

When the short circuit is removed, the isolators restore power and data to the isolated section automatically. The 55000-720 mounts on the 45681-211 isolator base, which is designed to accept this isolator only.

• Detects wiring short circuits on the loop.

• Automatic de-isolation when the short circuit is removed.
• Up to 20 detectors, or their equivalent load, between isolators.

Typical applications:

• Dividing addressable loops into protected sections, so a single wiring fault does not disable the whole loop.
