Victaulic FireLock FL-QR/ST/ESFR K16.8 Pendent Storage Sprinkler – V4702

The Victaulic FireLock Series FL-QR/ST/ESFR V4702 is a quick-response ESFR pendent sprinkler designed for warehouse and storage fire-protection applications.

ESFR stands for Early Suppression Fast Response. This sprinkler type is intended to attack a developing storage fire at an early stage by delivering a high water flow with droplets capable of penetrating the fire plume and reaching the burning commodity.

Model V4702 has a nominal K16.8 discharge coefficient and is intended for storage sprinkler systems designed in accordance with NFPA, FM Data Sheets and applicable local requirements.

Operation:

The sprinkler uses a 3 mm nominal-diameter heat-sensitive glass bulb.

When the ambient temperature reaches the rated operating temperature:

• Fluid inside the glass bulb expands.
• The bulb breaks.
• The sealing assembly releases.
• Water begins to discharge through the sprinkler.
• The pendent deflector directs water downward over the protected storage area.
• The high discharge coefficient provides the flow required for early suppression applications.
• The system operates according to the hydraulically designed pressure, flow and number of operating sprinklers.
