About the project
Garden Millennium Hotel is a 68-room hotel in the Al Salamah district of Jeddah. It opened in 2020 and offers guests a 24-hour front desk, parking, free Wi-Fi and laundry service. With guests arriving and leaving at all hours and a front desk that never closes, its safety systems have to work as reliably at night as they do during the day.
Why fire and life safety matter in this hotel
Guests sleep in rooms they do not know well, and many could not say where the nearest exit is. A night-time fire in a guest room or service area can fill corridors with smoke before anyone notices. Automatic detection that alerts the front desk early, alarms audible in every room and suppression that controls the fire at its source make a safe evacuation possible. Staff on duty around the clock can verify an alarm and guide guests out, while security systems monitor entrances and parking. The Saudi Building Code (SBC 801) and Civil Defense requirements govern the design.
