What the show was set to offer

The 2026 edition would have been the eighth, covering five sectors: Commercial & Perimeter Security, Homeland Security & Policing, Cybersecurity, Fire & Rescue, and Safety & Health. Its program included two CPD-certified summits: the Future Security Summit and the Fire Protection & Technology Summit.

The postponement notice does not mention Intersec Global in Dubai, which its official website still lists for 12–14 January 2027 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

What it means for facilities and professionals

The postponement is an event decision only. It changes nothing in the Saudi Fire Protection Code (SBC 801) or Civil Defense requirements, so ongoing projects, maintenance contracts and inspection and testing schedules continue as before.

Practical steps now

  1. If you were exhibiting or had registered to visit, follow the organizer’s official announcements for the new dates and venue, and check your booking and registration arrangements with the organizer.
  2. If you were counting on the summits for continuing professional development hours, plan alternatives until the 2027 program is announced.
  3. If you planned to compare fire protection systems and equipment at the show, request technical proposals, specifications and approval certificates directly from suppliers now rather than waiting for the event.

Before selecting systems and equipment, see our guides to UL Listed vs FM Approved and how to choose a fire alarm control panel.
