Terms & Conditions
The terms governing use of the AZEIDK Egypt website, quotations, and the supply, installation and maintenance of fire protection systems.
01Definitions and scope
“AZEIDK Egypt” is the AZEIDK Group operation in the Arab Republic of Egypt that supplies, installs and maintains fire protection systems. The “Client” is any person or entity that uses this website, requests a quotation or contracts with us.
These terms apply to the use of this website and to quotations, supply orders, installation and maintenance. Where they conflict, the specific terms of the quotation or signed contract prevail.
02Use of the website and technical content
Technical information on this website, including datasheets, technical submittals and guides, is provided for information and guidance. It does not replace the engineered design approved by a qualified consultant for each project.
Specifications and approvals vary by model; the final reference is the datasheet and approval certificate of the model supplied. Manufacturers may update specifications without notice.
Brand names and logos, including client and certification-body logos, belong to their owners. Their appearance does not imply partnership or endorsement beyond what is expressly stated.
03Quotations and orders
- A quotation is valid for the period stated in it and lapses afterwards unless we confirm it in writing.
- Quantities and models are based on the drawings, BOQs and information provided by the Client; changes may affect price and lead time.
- Prices are in Egyptian pounds unless stated otherwise, and each quotation states whether VAT is included.
- An order becomes binding only once accepted by us in writing, or through a purchase order or signed contract.
04Technical responsibility and approvals
- Fire protection system design and selection is the responsibility of the owner and their consultant, in line with the Egyptian Fire Protection Code and the relevant NFPA reference standards.
- We provide technical submittals, datasheets and available product certificates for the consultant’s review.
- Obtaining General Administration of Civil Protection approvals and building licences is the owner’s responsibility unless the contract states otherwise.
- We supply the models approved in the quotation; any alternative requires the written approval of the Client or consultant.
05Supply, delivery and acceptance
- Lead times are estimates and start from order approval, receipt of the down payment and, where required, submittal approval.
- The Client should inspect goods on receipt, before signing the delivery note, and record any visible damage or shortage on that note.
- Responsibility for the goods passes to the Client on delivery to the agreed site or store.
06Installation, testing and commissioning
Where installation is contracted, the Client prepares the site: safe access, power and water supplies, clear work areas and coordination with other contractors.
Acceptance and commissioning tests are carried out with the Client’s or consultant’s representative, and test records and handover documents are delivered on completion. Delays caused by site unreadiness extend the programme accordingly.
07Warranty
- Products carry the manufacturer’s warranty under its terms and period, as stated in the datasheet or warranty certificate.
- Installation works performed by AZEIDK Egypt are warranted for the period set in the contract.
- The warranty excludes faults caused by misuse, installation or modification by others, lack of periodic inspection and maintenance, accidents or abnormal conditions.
08Inspection and maintenance
Fire protection systems require periodic inspection, testing and maintenance, such as NFPA 25 for water-based systems and NFPA 10 for extinguishers. Maintenance is carried out under the scope and visit schedule of the maintenance contract.
We issue a visit report with findings and recommendations; carrying out recommended repairs or replacements remains the Client’s responsibility unless covered by the contract.
09Returns and exchanges
- Custom-made or specially imported products, installed or commissioned items, and refilled extinguishers cannot be returned or exchanged except for manufacturing defects.
- Unused standard products in original packaging may be returned by written agreement.
- This does not affect consumer rights under Egyptian Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 where applicable.
10Payment and title
Payment follows the terms in the quotation or contract. Title to the goods remains with AZEIDK Egypt until full payment, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
11Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, AZEIDK Egypt is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of profit or business interruption, and its total liability for any order is limited to the value of that order.
AZEIDK Egypt is not responsible for the consequences of design deficiencies by others, or of operating or maintaining systems contrary to manufacturer instructions and approved standards.
12Force majeure
Neither party is in breach if performance is delayed by circumstances beyond its control, such as government decisions, import or shipping restrictions, natural disasters or civil unrest. Deadlines are extended for as long as such circumstances last.
13Intellectual property
Website content, including text, images and designs, is owned by AZEIDK Group or used under licence and may not be copied or republished for commercial purposes without written permission. Published datasheets may be used for project submission and approval.
14Personal data
We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
15Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The parties will first seek an amicable settlement; failing that, the competent Egyptian courts in Cairo have jurisdiction unless the contract provides for arbitration.
16Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on the website at the date of the order applies. Enquiries: +20 120 500 0234 · info@azeidk.com · Head office: 81 Mohamed Mokled St, 8th District, Nasr City, Cairo.
Specific terms in a quotation or signed contract prevail over these general terms where they conflict.
