Explosion-Proof Triple Infrared Flame Detector, SFP-IR3-EXD

The SelectFire Plus SFP-IR3-EXD is an advanced point-type triple infrared flame detector designed for rapid and accurate fire detection in hazardous and demanding industrial environments.

The detector uses three specialised pyroelectric sensors operating at 3.8μm, 4.4μm and 5.3μm wavelengths to analyse the infrared radiation signature emitted by flames.

Advanced algorithms compare the intensity and ratio of signals across all three infrared bands, helping distinguish genuine flames from false sources such as sunlight, artificial lighting, heated machinery and hot surfaces.

The detector also analyses the low-frequency flickering characteristics of fire, improving flame recognition and false-alarm rejection.
