The FG SD-615 conventional photoelectric smoke detector includes an integrated sounder and is designed to detect smoke and provide a direct audible warning when the smoke concentration reaches the alarm threshold.
The detector uses infrared photoelectric sensing inside a specially designed chamber. The chamber allows smoke to enter while helping reduce the effect of external light.
When smoke enters the sensing chamber, smoke particles reflect infrared light toward the receiving sensor. Once the smoke reaches the specified concentration, the detector generates an alarm signal and activates the built-in sounder.
According to the catalogue, the detector is available in both 2-wire and 4-wire versions.
