تفاصيل المنتج

نظرة عامة على المنتج

SAFEGUARD BIOSOLV C6 AFFF-3% in a 20-liter container is an aqueous film-forming foam concentrate designed to extinguish and secure fires involving non-polar hydrocarbon fuels.

The concentrate is proportioned at 3%, using three parts foam concentrate with 97 parts fresh water or seawater through properly calibrated proportioning equipment.

AFFF forms a thin aqueous film across the fuel surface to help suppress flammable vapors. A stable foam blanket separates the fuel from oxygen and helps prevent re-ignition, while water released from the foam bubbles cools the fuel surface.

This product is supplied in a 20-liter HDPE container and is suitable for use with low- and medium-expansion discharge devices and conventional fixed or portable proportioning equipment.

How AFFF Works:

Aqueous Film:

The foam forms a thin aqueous film across the fuel surface to reduce the release of flammable fuel vapors.

Foam Blanket:

The stable foam blanket separates the fuel surface from oxygen and helps prevent re-ignition.

Cooling Effect:

Water released from the foam bubbles cools the fuel surface and reduces the energy required for continued burning or re-ignition.

Proportioning Ratio:

• 3 parts foam concentrate.
• 97 parts water.
• Fresh water or seawater.
• Use properly calibrated proportioning equipment.

Typical Properties:

Appearance:

• Amber color.

pH:

• 6.5 to 8.5.

Specific Gravity:

• 1.00 to 1.05.

Expansion / Foam Quality:

• Greater than 8.00.

25% Drainage Time:

• Greater than 90 seconds.
