Check its revision number and date, because manufacturers update datasheets when listings change, and the same model may be listed in one size but not another.<\/p>\n<h3>Product catalogue<\/h3>\n<p>A product catalogue presents the whole product family for marketing. It often carries the logos of every approval the company holds for any product. So it is never accepted on its own as proof that a specific model is approved. Use it to introduce the manufacturer and its range only.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a07f242 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a07f242\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Installation manuals and O&amp;M manuals<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>installation manual<\/strong> is in practice part of the listing, because the product was tested with a specific installation method. Mounting orientation, clearances, permitted connections and compatible components are all conditions; ignore them and the installation may fall outside the listing. Review the installation manual with the submittal before supply, not after a problem appears on site.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) manual<\/strong> sets out how to operate, inspect, maintain and recharge the system, and lists spare parts. The SASO fire control technical regulation requires the supplier to provide a user manual covering use, installation and maintenance for products within its scope. They prove the actual item supplied was tested. For example, a European constancy of performance certificate for a fire alarm product names the EN 54 parts it covers, is tied to the product and standard stated on it, and can be suspended or withdrawn by the notified body. So match the manufacturer name, model, size and configuration across the certificate, the datasheet and the product supplied. It excludes fire alarm and firefighting systems, to which the Saudi fire protection code applies. Products within its scope cannot be placed on the market without a conformity certificate, issued by SASO or a body it accepts under the Type 3 conformity assessment model. Products carrying the Saudi Quality Mark are deemed to meet its safety requirements.<\/p>\n<p>In practice, the importer registers the product on SABER, requests the product certificate, then a shipment certificate for each consignment. Products outside any technical regulation are registered with a supplier self-declaration plus a shipment certificate. Under the regulation, the technical file includes the supplier&#8217;s declaration of conformity and a risk assessment. Because SASO&#8217;s guidance may read differently from the regulation text for some fixed systems, confirm each product&#8217;s status with a conformity assessment body before import. The contractor submits it to the consultant before supply.
